Knits and Darks
Knits, darks, boots, fall-scented candles...some of the few things I'm really excited about fall. My favorite time of the year! Truthfully, I dreaded summer and it's uncomfortable humidity (what a surprise for a girl coming from Vegas and now living in Austin), and it's almost impossible to taste the fall weather here. And although I enjoyed wearing teeny tiny clothes, going to parks, lakes and beaches, I've always loved the cold and the spirit of winter, plus, dressing up for these seasons are a lot better, don't you think?
Lately, it has been gloomy and drizzling for a bit here in Austin. The weather has so much impact with my mood, and it's been a little rough trying to go back to the old habits ever since I got back from our relief mission in the South. I came back to my day job immediately after and packed up my whole apartment to move to another, planning my short visit back home in Vegas, and some recent tragic loss in my extended family. Pretty stressful, eventful month, I must say.
This past weekend, we went on a short less than half an hour trip to Manor, TX to check out their Ghost Town. It was actually still pretty sunny and humid on this side of the world. I love vintage locations and this is a fun place away from the city hustle. A little bit off the beaten path but it's worth it. I actually had so much fun shooting there with all it's photo ops. The ambiance is fun, not in a spooky way, and I'm definitely coming back when it's a lot cooler here. Surprisingly, even though I'm wearing darks and knits, my clothes are still breathable enough in this weather. So, that's a plus for this outfit, although I really can't wait for it to be cooler.

ReplyDeleteI just came back from the West Coast! And yes, I do agree with you. It's still very warm and it is too, here in Texas. This "fall" season just gave me a reason to dress for the occasion. But really, I was so hot while shooting this! LOL
