A Perfect World with Origins + Preen.Me

I usually don't talk about my skin. Personally, this is a sensitive subject for me to talk about since I have no confidence with my bare face. I've never had a problem with acne growing up, until I was on my high school/college years where I started breaking out. My acne scars says a lot about my vulnerability. Thankfully though, I've learned to embrace it throughout the years, and thanks to make-up.

As I'm growing older, I've realized how important to have a skin-care regimen to keep a healthy-looking and acne-free face. It is important too to prevent wrinkles and fine lines in the future. Your skin is the first line of defense against pollution, diet and stress. And for my age, this would be the perfect time to start.

My skin-care regimen is very, very simple. I try to make it as simple as possible because I don't like to layer my skin with too many products. I remember when I was in military basic training, I only wash my face with soap and water, do it twice a day, and that was it. Although my acne scars are hard to bypass and close to not fading at all because of my constant exposure to sun, my skin was actually clearer than ever. So now, I still try to keep it carefully simple. I wash my face with a mild face wash, moisturize my oily skin with gel, scrub 2-3 times a week, and wear facial masks 1-2 times a week. Origins masks continues to be in my heart. What I love about Origins is that it's organic and does not have chemicals that can ruin the skin. It doesn't irritate and it's good for my sensitive skin.

So, I've partnered up with Origins and Preen.Me to be a brand ambassador to attend the re-launch of their A Perfect World skincare recently. I've learned so much about the new products, thanks to the girls who helped me at the Central Park, TX location. I was able to enjoy a wonderful mini-facial and a Peace of Mind therapy. Other activities include a white tea-leaf reading and charcoal sketching with an artist.

After receiving a generous amount of products from Origins, I finally was able to try the skincare line. First impression? The smell. They all smell so fresh and clean, leaving a a citrusy, tea scent that is very calming. I personally don't like skincare products that have a strong scent, so this is perfect for me. I also try to be careful with layering my face with products so I try to do it minimally. So far, so good. I haven't had any bad reactions and my skin is loving the hydration thus far. My favorites are the under eye cream, anti-oxidant cleanser and the serum. I've provided the list of products down below.
